"GEO-" Guided Tour and Workshop

With Mleiha being the inspiration behind the works exhibited in the current exhibition “Geo- Earth and its materiality”, 1971-Design Space presents a two-day program of a guided tour to the exhibition and Mleiha followed by a workshop lead by Michael Rice.

Participants will accompany Michael on a tour to the Archaeological Centre and Sites in Mleiha. The objects exhibited at the Archaeological Centre originate from the Paleolithic, Neolithic, Bronze, Iron, pre-Islamic, Islamic and modern ages, and give ample evidence about the international influence on pottery design, art and jewellery. The tour will then be followed by a workshop at 1971- Design Space where Michael will lead a session on basic ceramic practice.
